Inspire Thrive · Live Il Il Shin classes for adults
일일신
A stronger body. A clearer mind. A better way to meet everyday life. Practice movement, meditation, and personal growth with a live instructor and people growing alongside you.
Live at Inspire Burbank · Beginner-friendly · No martial arts experience required

You know what to do, but you do not consistently do it.
You react emotionally, then wish you had handled it differently.
You reach goals, but the satisfaction never seems to last.
Your body feels stiffer, weaker, or older than you want it to.
You are physically present with people, but your mind is somewhere else.
You support everyone around you, but rarely have space to work on yourself.
Inspire Thrive gives you a place to work on the gap between your intentions and your actions—without shame and without pretending you have it all figured out.
The real test is not what you do for an hour in class. It is who you become during the other twenty-three.
This is time to work on yourself, with guidance and people beside you. Your instructor leads you through the full Il Il Shin class: Moment, Presence, Longevity, Power, and Reflection.
Arrive, pause, and set an intention. Give yourself a moment to step out of the rush and into the practice.
Learn how to meditate. Practice breathing, directing your attention, and returning to the present when your mind wanders.
Move to stay capable. Develop mobility, balance, and control with movement suited to your starting point.
Build useful strength and energy through purposeful physical training, with an instructor to guide your effort.
Connect the practice to your life. Notice what you learned and choose one better action to carry into your day.
See the gap. Choose better. Begin again.
Knowing what you want to change is a beginning. A regular class gives you a place to practice it—with an instructor, a shared rhythm, and people learning alongside you.
Some days you bring energy. Some days you bring a busy mind. Start where you are, do the work in front of you, and take one useful step into the rest of your day.
Ask questions, receive coaching, and learn how to approach the movement and meditation.
Build a regular practice with people who encourage your effort and share your commitment to growth.
Practice staying present, keeping your word, and choosing your response in everyday situations.
You do not need to be flexible, fit, or experienced in meditation. Start with the 3-Class Discovery Course and give yourself room to learn the practice.
Your local studio. Your live practice.
Meet your instructor, share your goals, and experience how movement, meditation, and reflection work together.
The live class is your starting point. The Il Il Shin online community on Skool helps you stay connected to the practice between visits—with lessons, shared reflection, resources, and people working on the same daily habits.
Use it to revisit an idea, ask a question, share a win, or find encouragement when following through feels hard.

Stress. Distraction. Anger. Discipline. Health. Relationships. Gratitude. Accountability. Connection. Presence.
Il Il Shin is built around 10 simple Rules that turn these everyday challenges into practices.
They aren’t motivational quotes. They aren’t ideas to memorize. Start with the question that feels familiar.
The practice · Keep the Rule Even When There Is No Rule
Motivation comes and goes. Learn to keep the promises you make to yourself even when nobody is watching.
The practice · Choose Calm Over Anger
You can't control traffic, coworkers, family, or what somebody says to you.
You can train how you respond.
The practice · Daily Meditation
Notifications. Decisions. Responsibilities. Noise.
Learn practical ways to become still, focus your attention, and create space between what happens and how you respond.
The practice · Tah Do Every Day
Put down the phone. Slow down. Be fully present with another human being.
Some relationships don't need fixing. They need your attention.
The practice · Physical Exercise
Strength. Mobility. Balance. Energy. Independence.
Don't just exercise for how you look today.
Build a body capable of carrying you into the life ahead.
The practice · Do Good Deeds
Do something good for someone else.
It doesn't have to be huge.
Sometimes changing your day starts by changing someone else's.
The practice · Personal Check-In
Stop long enough to ask:
How am I doing right now?
Don't wait until your life is completely off course to check your direction.
The practice · Thank You and I’m Sorry
Sometimes two of the hardest things to say are also two of the most powerful:
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
Drop the need to win every battle and make room for something better.
The practice · Accountability Partner
Find people who won't just tell you what you want to hear.
The right community doesn't carry you.
It challenges you, supports you, and makes it harder to lie to yourself.
The practice · Mindful Eating
Start with something incredibly simple.
Slow down.
Taste your food.
Listen to the person talking.
Notice where you are.
If you can learn to be present for the ordinary moments, you can learn to be present for your life.
Il Il Shin is an ancient principle of daily renewal carried forward through Korean martial tradition. The teaching and 10 Rules practiced in this system were entrusted by Grandmaster Byung Min Kim to students including Grandmaster Keith Winkle and Grandmaster Chris Berlow to live, preserve, and share.
At Inspire, Grandmaster Winkle brings more than four decades of training and a lifetime of teaching into a standalone practice designed to help adults build a stronger future—whether or not they have ever stepped into a martial arts class.
