A place to practice focus, build confidence, and learn to keep trying—with encouragement along the way.
Meaningful challenges, a sense of belonging, and opportunities to become someone others can count on.
Build skills, reconnect with your goals, and train alongside people who want to see you progress.
Martial arts gives us something rare: a safe place to face challenges, make mistakes, try again, and discover what we are capable of.
Every class gives students opportunities to practice the qualities life demands—confidence, discipline, courage, respect, resilience, leadership, and personal responsibility.
Practice a skill. Work through a mistake. Discover you can do something that once felt out of reach.
Those small victories build belief students can carry into school, work, and everyday challenges.
Progress takes patience. With clear coaching and appropriate challenges, students practice managing frustration, accepting feedback, and trying again.
The goal is to build the ability to keep moving forward when something feels difficult.
Listen. Take responsibility. Encourage a partner. Include someone new.
Leadership grows through these everyday choices—and through making the people around you better.
Il Il Shin Mu Do—The Martial Way of Daily Renewal—is the system and philosophy behind Inspire.
Its message is simple:
You do not have to change everything overnight. You have to keep showing up, learning, reflecting, and taking the next step.
Beginners receive a clear place to start. Experienced students continue finding new challenges. Everyone trains at their own level, but no one travels the journey alone.
Our training combines traditional martial arts discipline with practical self-defense, striking, sparring, grappling, conditioning, mindful movement, and personal development.
But those are the tools.
The real purpose is helping students become more capable, disciplined, confident, resilient, and caring—one class and one choice at a time.
Not perfect. Better. Not someday. Today.

We believe children need encouragement—but they also need standards.
We believe confidence should be developed through accomplishment, not handed out through empty praise.
We believe discipline should teach self-control and responsibility, not fear.
We believe martial arts should make people more capable without making them arrogant—and stronger without making them unkind.
We believe every student deserves to be challenged at the right level, supported through the difficult moments, and recognized for genuine progress.
And we believe the lessons practiced on the mat should make life better at home, at school, at work, and in the community.
That is what makes Inspire different.

“Martial arts should help people become more capable, confident, and caring.”
Grandmaster Keith Winkle did not create Inspire simply to produce skilled martial artists.
He created it to help people create their best lives.
A full-time martial arts professional since 1989, Grandmaster Winkle has spent decades teaching children, coaching families, developing leaders, and helping people break through limitations they once believed were permanent.
His approach reaches far beyond physical technique. As an educator, mentor, author of The F.U.N. Formula, and creator of The Adventures of KJ children’s series, his work brings together martial arts, personal development, and practical strategies for becoming stronger in mind, body, and character.
That philosophy continues to shape every Inspire program:
Challenge people without tearing them down. Encourage them without lowering the standard. Meet them where they are—and help them discover where they can go.
Today, Inspire remains a family-built organization united around one mission:
Help kids grow. Help families connect. Help adults rise. Help people be better every day.
